Training Services for Your Dog

training and obedience classes put an emphasis on
socialization and are intended to help you train
your dog with easy and positive training methods
your dog understands. Classes also offer you and
your pet a chance to work around other dogs, while
private training may help you if the class situation
is too difficult, or you are experiencing specific
behavior problems.
Our training philosophy is NOT to force your dog
into good behavior, rather to enhance your pet’s
already strong desire to please you. We do not use
choke or prong collars. Our training works with your
pet’s individual personality and seeing them play
among other dogs gives the trainer an opportunity to
better understand your pet.

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
(age 8-20 weeks)
This convenient “drop in” class is a MUST for you
and your new pup! A “socialization” class (not
obedience class) emphasizes on manners such as leash
tolerance, settling down, “sit” and bite inhibition
while at the same time allowing them to socialize
with other puppies which is most important in puppy
development. (Veterinarian and breeder recommended)
Classes are Saturday 9:00am till 10:00am. “Drop Ins”
welcomed.

BEGINNER OBEDIENCE
(age 5mos & older)
Continue on with this on leash class. This effective
obedience class emphasizes leash manners and all
basic obedience commands with a positive training
philosophy. Minimum distractions are used.
Classes are Thursdays evenings 7pm till
8pm and Saturdays 11am till 12pm.

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE (graduates of beginner obedience)
Intermediate Obedience with emphasis on having your
pet explore some off leash training with several
distractions.
Basic
obedience is required to register for Intermediate
Obedience.
Classes are
Tuesday evenings 7:00pm till 8:00pm

BEGINNER CLICKER
This basic class offers you a different
technique widely used in positive reinforcement
training. With the use of a clicker you will learn
basic commands and some fun tricks too! This is an
excellent start for those interested in agility or
showing later on in training.

are Wednesday evenings 7:00pm till 8:00pm

ONE ON ONE
Having trouble in a class setting? Can’t fit the
classes into your schedule? Have specific behavior
problems you want to correct? With “one on one”
training you and your dog get four flexible lessons
with an instructor. Length of lessons may vary
depending on your dog’s needs.

DELTA PET THERAPY WORKSHOP (dogs must be 1 year or older)
Have you ever thought of using your pet to
help others in need? This therapy workshop offers you the chance to become
certified to visit any facility you wish. The program consists of one 8 hour
workshop and two review classes. The Delta Society has been around since 1976
and has been the model for all pet therapy programs. Class schedule may vary.
Rate:
$150.00 (plus tax) for the basic workshop and includes
the book necessary for evaluation.
